Here are a bunch of short videos we took of our children during their therapy sessions. One of our friends from our parent group came up with the idea to video tape our children while they were exhibiting sensory behaviors (Coming Soon). We also thought it would be a good idea to video tape our children during therapy, so you could see what each of the different therapies looks like. They aren't lying on a couch talking to a therapist, they are "playing" and having fun. Thank you so much to the Therapists for letting us video tape you and for everything you do for our children!! We are so grateful for you!!

June 24, 2010:  Riley's OT session with his Occupational Therapist, Rebecca Cain.  Rebecca is working on multiple senses with Riley.

·         Auditory: The headphones he's wearing are "Listening Therapy" (See "Therapies" Tab) and her conversation with him.

·         Tactile: She is throwing squishy animals to him.

·         Vestibular & Proprioceptive: The swing.

·         Vision: The swing and throwing the animals.

June 25, 2010:  Riley's Speech Session with his Speech Language Pathologist, Ashley McDowell.

Ashley is using visuals to work with Riley on answering questions. We've been with Ashley for over a year now. When we first started with her he wasn't able to answer any questions. Ashley has been so amazing with him and helped him come so far!!!

Ashley made this visual schedule to help Riley know what's coming next and helps him with transitions. Before they started using this, he was having frequent meltdowns. His meltdowns stopped when she started using this schuedule with him.

Thank you Ashley for doing this the last day before your maternity leave!!! You're the best!!
